COMPETITION LAW & POLICY
INSTITUTE OF NZ (INC)
The Competition Law and Policy Institute of New Zealand was founded in 1989. Its objects include:
- Initiating, organising and publicising workshops, lectures, seminars, conferences, courses and other meetings for the dissemination of knowledge in the fields of competition law and policy;
- Publishing or facilitating the publication of monographs, research papers, journals, articles, audio and video tapes, circulars and any other materials for the dissemination of knowledge in the fields of competition law and policy;
- Liaising and collaborating with other similar organisations, relevant enforcement and decision-making bodies, universities, research bodies and other places of learning;
In pursuit of these objectives the Institute each year organises a Workshop for its members. The Institute also offers Post-Graduate Scholarships.
The Institute provides a neutral but effective forum for the analysis and debate of a wide range of applications of competition policy, and is a key forum for experts to contribute to future policy initiatives.
The membership of CLPINZ includes jurists, academic lawyers and economists, lawyers and consulting economists engaged in public practice, regulators and policy analysts working for competition regulators.
